Project #154 | Classic & Chic Wood Railing

This custom poplar railing system transforms a three-level townhouse staircase into a striking architectural feature. Finished in glossy black paint, the balusters, handrail, and newels create a bold, cohesive look — where classic newel designs meet balusters with a contemporary cut for a finish that is equal parts timeless and modern. Dramatic goosenecks and an over-the-post design add elegance at every transition, while the arced balcony spanning all three levels creates an open sightline through the entire townhouse, making the railing as much a design statement as it is a functional system.
